winex3和rh9的配合不好,因为rh9用了自己patch过的glibc,

  ok I'm a new subcriber and have been interested in Wine and WineX for awhile. I installed wine then wineX (seperatly)
on Redhat 9. Neither worked. I was wondering if anyone else has this problem and if there is a fix for it, if not does wineX 3.0pre work with Redhat 8.0?

  WineX will not work on RH9 because RH9 uses a newer version (incompatible) of glibc. Transgaming is still working on a version that will work on both RH9 and Mandrake 9.1. And Yes..... it works on redhat 8.0

  Refer to the gagillion posts below about glibc. If you really want to get winex running don't use Redhat 9, go back to 8.
