用源代码安装的软件该如何卸载？

比如我安装了gaim-0.62，不可能用rpm -e命令吧？

在源码目录输入make uninstall

linux有个问题很多人都提到。删文件总是不干净，就是剩下些文件要另外删除，有什么好方法吗？
例如用rpm －e

that is because u need to read the Makefile, in install section u can clearly know which files are install in which directory. but not all people know how to write a Makefile, so...
in fact only read certain parts needed
