2.4.20内核编译后不能上网

我编译了2.4.20的内核，配置时网络部分我基本都选为模块。
启动新内核时提示：
Start service ipvsadm:
Clearing the curren IPVS table: Can't initialize ipvs. Protocol not available. Are sure that IP Virtual Server is built in the kernel or as a module?

进入系统后，输入mdc-ssd没有反应(这个东东axin站长应该知道)，和回车的效果一样。
那位大大可以救我。

seems u have the ipvs on u pc. do u patch the new kernel as well?

i guess u network problem is nothing to do with this virtual server. can u check u route, ifconfig, and network module? which nic u use? can u lsmod with u old kernel and new kernel and compare the difference?

Thanks for your instruction of IPVS, and now i have compiled a new kernel with that, and the ipvs's problem has been solved. But my network can't work well yet, as you said above, i wiil try to do following your suggestion.

but i can not connect to the internet.
i must use a authentication program(mdc-ssd) to link to the server, but after my enter mdc-ssd, there is not action. this program works well in the mdk9.0's orignial kernel.
