Distributing Compiler or Multi-Threads Compiler?

Could we use distributing compiler or multi-threads compilter to be better efficiency?

I think IBM's got a metaframe that can do this kind of job extremely fast. You can have a check of that. But for personal use, u'd better buy a more powerful CPU and Gigs of RAM.
