the help in kernel option are already very clear and helpful. i do not know why need such a book.

这里面的东西比较老了一些，不过是一个很好的参考。

现在的新的版本的选项会比以前的多很多。我想最好还是看menuconfig或xconfig本身带有的help 比较好，那里面十分详细，还有对你的是否选和如何选该选项提出了建议，我想你会满意的。

我目前也正在学习配置内核，
基本就是看里面的帮助，还是比较容易懂的。
已经编译很多次了，
好在新内核的安装方法很简单方便，
就是需要些时间

in make config. u can not
in make menuconfig, or make xconfig, u can

if u like, edit .config directly.

That's right!
"make menuconfig" is much more easier to config the kernel!
In "make xconfig", the fonts is too small to read!

(My English is poor......hehe!)
