konqeror in ML had already crashed several times in my computer.
I tried many linux distributions, Mandrake 7.2 and all later versions, Redhat 7.0 and all later versions, SuSE8.0, 8.2, and bluepoint 1.0, redflag 2.0, 4.0. Except for bluepoint 1.0 and redflag 2.0, 4.0, konqeror in all the other distributions crashes too much. The only reason that konqueror in bluepoint 1.0 and redflag 2.0, 4.0 don't crash is that I even can not install them, and the installation always die in the halfway (redflag 4.0 is tried in VMWARE).
It looks like konqeror contains too much function, and also too many bugs in it.
We don't need an omni-powerful program, we just need a STABLE file manager.
I am curious that why does KDE not re-written konqeror if it always crashes?
I searched GOOGLE, I find many other guys have the same experience as I have.
I also searched the website of KDE, the crash report had already exsited there long ago. But they still have not resolved it. It is really amazing! |
