请问怎样去掉中文字体的边缘模糊？

Debian Sarge, 用以前RedHat8.0时候的汉化方式汉化，/etc/fonts/fonts.conf请见附件1, 在/etc/X11/XF86Config-4中的Module定义：

目前Firebird显示效果如附件2, 但在rxvt、gimp等软件中汉字并未被模糊(附件3).
我希望firebird能有附件4中的效果。

我试过改为true，也试着把这段话去掉，但是情况似乎并没有改善。我已经试过重新启动。
请问其他地方还有类似的设置？

firebird字体设为simsun了吗？如果设了，你在kde的字体选项中将防锯齿去掉试试看。

简体中文的字体都设为simsun了， 我没有KDE, 用的是fvwm

多谢！ 现在simsun的字体平滑已经关闭，看起来比以前好多了 :-)

不过不知道为什么以前有的simsun粗体字现在没有了，怀疑是我的font.dir有问题，等我试试
