如何在turbolinux10下安装GCC 请教？

我在turbolinux10下安装GCC，问题如下，找了好多帖子，没搞懂。

[root@tulip gcc-3.3.2]# ./configure --prefix=/usr/bin
Configuring for a i686-pc-linux-gnu host.
Created "Makefile" in /root/Desktop/tools/gcc-3.3.2 using "mt-frag"
./configure: cc: command not found
*** The command 'cc -o conftest -g conftest.c' failed.
*** You must set the environment variable CC to a working compiler.
[root@tulip gcc-3.3.2]#

给个提示啊兄弟们！！
