Hello, I would like to inform you that since a couple of weeks I'm offering daily snapshots of CVSGnome (well not fixed days, it depends on what shows up on ftp.gnome.org and how my motivation is).
So you can find a normal release version on my homepage which builds a normal GNOME release and you can find a Testversion of CVSGnome which is on the bleeding edge with heavy tarball updates.
Please remember that CVSGnome builds from Tarballs or CVS depends on the stuff you want. You can use it as wrapper to build other GNOME software too. Here again some easy instructions:
a) Make sure that Headerfiles for all sorts of stuff is installed, XFree, libpng, libjpeg, libtiff and so on. Compiler, Linker, Python, Expat, Fontconfig, Freetype2, Docbook...
b) Edit CVSGnome and replace 'PREFIXDIR=""' with the location of your choice. E.g. 'PREFIXDIR="/opt/gnome2"' or 'PREFIXDIR="/home/myname/gnome2"'. This keyword is there at the beginning (after the Document and FAQ).
c) Start the script and enter:
'world' if you want to build from CVS or
'world stable' if you want to build from Tarballs.
That's it, no need to create directories, download Tarballs manually or checking out CVS manually. Everything works automagically. During the download or checkout you should read the Document and FAQ section inside the script. Accesable through the interactive Menu.
找到这一段,world stable就可以了。
不过不知道能不能先下载gnoma,在本地安装? |
