第一次安装gentoo，怎么安装x服务啊？

我直接下载编译xfce以后，startx出现错误：

apm是电源管理的东西吧，跟X好象不搭界啊~怎么改啊？

好像是apm的问题，你的gentoo用的devfs吧？检查一下modprobe.devfs和modules.devfs还有devfsd.conf的设置吧。

我的主板是apci的管理啊~amp我在内核上没开啊，怎么会出问题的呀~

还有就是我在编译modutiles的时候报错，提示是modprobe.conf没有被自动生成，所以后面的modutile-update这步也不成功~我想是不是这个关系？
如果是的话有什么解决办法？

APMBIOS 和 APM 是两个东西。。。 !-_-

不过我也不太明白了，我从来不把那个 APMBIOS 编译进内核。。。 !-_-

不过作为一种尝试，还是希望你试试重编译内核并加入 APMBIOS 支持。

其实不用搞这么复杂，emerge gnome或emerge kde不就完了？？

我敢说楼上这位兄弟只看了标题。。。 !-_-

头晕~装debian都是一次成功的，gentoo已经3次了，就第2次可以启动成功，但是错误是一塌胡涂，启动以后mount file错误提示，但是我的fstab里面配置一点问题都没有~为了减少出错几率，我把除了必要的几个分区放进去以外，其他全都没填~现在的情况是可以启动(有报错)，可以启动wm，xfce，但是速度实在太惨了。我快失去信心了，今天第四次装，希望四次以内能搞定~

我刚开始玩 Gentoo 时全国好像就 cclnw 和 DebenGao 在用 Gentoo，那时除了 Gentoo 英文站上的文档什么文档也没有，论坛把 Gentoo 归到“其它发行版”板块，你现在回 linuxsir 还可以搜索到那时 DebenGao 发表的那些没有人回的 Gentoo 帖子。

我第一次安装 Gentoo 时最高一次仅一天就重装了七次（我那时没有刻录机，那时一边看着英文文档一边看着 stage3  tarball 两眼直发楞），你现在开始 Gentoo 已经很幸运了，起码一个问题有那么多人回。

所以不要放弃，要加油哦！
