安装redhat9 分区出现问题，求助！

我的硬盘40G 主分区6G 装了win2000。扩展分区34G，其中分了D盘6G,E盘6G 剩下的空间没有
分区，安装linux用。


1。到分区步骤时，先出现如下提示：

The partition table on /dev/hda is inconsistent. There are many reasons
why this might be the case. often, reason is that Linux detected the BIOS
geometry incorrectly.However,this does not appear to be the case here.It is safe
to ignore may cause(fixed) problems with some boot loaders, and may cause problems
with FAT file systems.Using LBA is recommended.

这个“many reasons” 到底是什么“reason” 我也没看懂！

2。我点‘忽略’ ，进入分区列表，发现好几个 1< 小于1M的空闲空间 ，是如何产生的呢？
请诸位帮忙解答！

你的那些剩余空间是不是没有划入扩展分区?

在2000下有PQ分区的说，linux分区用ext3。大概有个7G就够了。还有就是在2000下记得要隐藏linux分区的说～用计算机管理来隐藏
