I am an absolutely newbie in linux. To input chinese in FC2 English environment , I have
1) installed both 'scim-0.9.7-1.i586.rpm' and 'scim-chinese-0.3.0-1.i586.rpm'
2) made the necessary changes in '/etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc.d/xinput' and '~/.bashrc'
according to:
http://www.linuxsir.org/bbs/showthread.php?s=7a5f7d97aa1814cbde370d95c321aaa9&threadid=115679
but i can not use scim chinese pinyin input!!!
when i run 'scim -l', it displays:
Smart Common Input Method 0.9.7
Available FrontEnd module:
socket
x11
Available Config module:
gconf
simple
socket
dummy
Available Server module:
rawcode
socket
table
note no 'pinyin' in the the "Available Server modue:" : (
when run 'scim -d', it displays:
Smart Common Input Method 0.9.7
Loading simple Config module ...
Creating backend ...
Loading Server module: rawcode ...
Loading Server Factory 0 ... : OK
rawcode Server module is successfully loaded.
Loading Server module: socket ...
Failed to load socket Server module.
Loading Server module: table ...
Failed to load table Server module.
Loading x11 FrontEnd module ...
Starting SCIM as daemon ...
i do can trigger SCIM using 'ctrl+space'. however, only 'rawcode' input method is available. furthermore, when i try to install 'scim-devel-0.9.7-1.i586.rpm', it always says:
error: Failed dependencies:
scim = 0.9.7 is needed by scim-devel-0.9.7-1
although 'scim-0.9.7' has been installed in my system.
any old bird here can give me a help? many many thanks and bows! |
