I've got no problem with 1024x768@60 though, I suggest you boot with a Knoppix CD, then go to KDE control center->Peripherals->Display and see if you can adjust the  1024x768@60 resolution there.  If it works, you can copy over the XF86Config file onto your gentoo partition. :-)

问题是Konoppix用的是Xfree 4.3，那里检测1024x768@60是能用的，可就是 xorg 6.8.0不行

It doesn't matter knoppix uses xfree, just "cp /etc/X11/XF86Config(-4) /mnt/hdaX/etc/X11/xorg.conf", it works for me! :-)

谢谢kuye兄，我这里不论用xorgconfig,xorgcfg Xorg -configure都无法配置出正确的配置文件让X显示*@60的分辨率，也就是说根本就没有@60的分辨率让我选。xorg的那个图形化的配置命令是xorgcfg还是Xorg -configure，记不清了，我配置Mode Line时默认就没有任何@60的选项，下拉菜单里添加任何一个@60的分辨率的选项，结果对话框只会给你个Abort的按钮，痛苦啊。

土办法：换显示器，换成最 BT 的显示器，21寸的，1600x1200 也能上 120hz 的那种。
