linux开机报错

我一台机器开机报错:
redhat9.0 linux

lilo boot
loading linux...
...............  ok
...................ok
..................ok
...
....
服务启动ok的
checking filesystems
/dev/hda6 contains a file system with error check forced
/dev/hda6 unattached inode 1583087
/dev/hda6 unexpected inconsistency;
run fsck manually
*** an error occurred druing the system check
*** dropping you to a shell the system with reboot
*** when you leave the shell
give root password for maintenance...........
主要是这个提示,意思不难理解
我就想问一下有何解决办法
如果是ext3文件系统是不是在非正常关机下可以完整的修复
如果是ext2的是不是可能有导致难以修复的错误
请高手给我详细的建议!!!!

ext2非正常关机的话应该是很容易导致上面的那种错误，不知道怎样修复
ext3可以修复，但是不是完整修复也不清楚
一直使用reiserfs文件系统，没遇过这种现象，建议上google搜索一下“修复 ext2”

它那个root密码也忘了  装单系统的,有地方输入lilo single吗

建议使用安装盘进入修复模式（好像叫rescue模式吧），运行fsck进行硬盘检测修复。
