xscreensaver包是不是有点老了？可否重新包一下？

一个好消息，GNOME 2.10.2 包装完毕，正式从 experimental 仓库移至 gnome 仓库。

xscreensaver 并非一个 gnome 的组件。有空的话我会包个新的。

有办法先在Windows下把所有的包下载下来再拷到Magic中安装吗？电脑在家里，只有学校的Windows机可以上网。

可以的，所有的 rpm 都在 http://auvtech.com/~xinzhen/downloads/GNOME/2.10/ 这里，你可以都下载回去。不过万一遇到依赖性问题，你可能还得回头来找其他的依赖包。

你 apt-get install gnome-session，所有安装上去的依赖包就是基础库了

安装很多包时都有
Fail Dependency:libwnck-1.so.4
Fail Dependency:libpanel-applet*.so.*

apt仓库中libwnck版本是libwnck-1.so.16

而libpanel-applet*.so.*就是gnome-panel提供的,但安装gnome-panel时还是Fail Dependency:libpanel-applet*.so.*

PS:
原来，不能同时用experimental和gnome仓库，这样会导致版本混乱。

可我现在已经用experimental升级了不少了，怎么办？

冲突：

嗯，这位朋友说的问题确实存在。experimental 仓库中是最新的包，而 gnome 仓库中却是 ML 1.2 时期的 Gnome 2.6，不同版本间的依赖性不同，由此造成了大家使用上的困惑。

为了解决这样的混乱，我正式决定，从 apt 中删除了 gnome 2.6 的包。gnome 仓库中现在是全套的 Gnome 2.10.2，而 experimental 里则是 2.10.2 之后发布的升级包。

最后一个问题，同样也是不同时期的包之间冲突。gnome-themes-extras 已经太老了，建议不要安装。

所有这些问题，在通过 apt 时都不会发生，因为 apt 自动解决了相关性。建议大家还是通过 apt 来得方便。
