3,大家需要什么gnome包，可以在下面跟贴，我们尽量满足大家
目前已经知道的问题
1, gnome 开机后声音选项为关闭。
这个是系统默认的问题，不是gnome的问题，
解决方法是先调节到你喜欢的音量，包括pcm，master等选项
sudo alsactl restore
然后root编辑
/etc/rc.d/rc.local加入一行alsactl restore
2,gnome 2.12 firefox 不正常显示文字
firefox 没有打 pango-cario的补丁，请卸载系统自代的，到apt中下载firefox，该firefox也打了madfox的补丁
3,与很多qt程序不兼容，请将locale改成 gb2312
/etc/sysconfig/i18n
4,菜单有多余选项
gnome 2.12有菜单编辑功能，请大家右键位单击菜单，选择编辑功能
（比较简陋）

haulm

gnome-core:
依赖: gnome-volume-manager 但是此软件包将不会被安装

这个还没说怎么解决哪。

这个里面好象有很多程序都不能兼容：·比如 eva这种东西。。。

这几天的升级白做了，呵呵。幸亏问题太多，没有安装好。

打上了 GNOME 2.12  for ML 的包，现在感觉良好。

不过，怎么也要挑点毛病出来的，呵呵。系统菜单还是很混乱。跟以前的一样，但是像“科学和数学”里面没有任何菜单项，现在为什么会显出来呢？

类似的还有“玩具”、“Settings”等。

这是panel默认的，我看看有没有其他办法，系统菜单若有图标问题是因为你还没有更新包，另外你可以编辑不需要的菜单，直接去掉的

这个相对比较麻烦，你装的是2.10还是2.12,
因为系统本身有gtk 程序，这样
rpm -qa | grep gnome
你先把这些rpm -e ,若有依赖问题，把相关依赖也解载
，因为这些是gnome引进来的依赖，应该不会和系统的有冲突。
特别注意， gtk2， pango， 生了级的，除非你自己安装回系统的
否则不可卸载，包括cairo

我在装，我就是想让两环境和谐共存，我喜欢gnome开发的背景，不过gnome目前比kde在易用上差了一点。在用unbuntu时就知道eva在gnome环境中会有麻烦，我试试看。
安装过程出现：

呵呵，兄弟辛苦了，昨晚3点没睡觉，要注意身体啊。

我再报告几个问题

1. 还是那个音量控制的。我按照疑难贴进行修改了，但是重启系统后，第一次会出现下面的提示：
音量控制找不到要控制的任何元素和/或设备。这意味着您可能没有安装正确的 GStreamer 插件，或者您没有配置好声卡。

如果您想要从面板中删除音量控制，可以用右键单击面板上的扬声器按钮，然后从菜单中选择“从面板删除”。

从第二次点击它开始，就出现下面的信息 ：
注册表不存在，或者已经损坏，请运行 gst-register 进行更新

2.“位置”菜单栏中，本来两条分割条之间还有一些东西的，在晚上的更新中能否把这个也处理一下。

可是我调节不了音量啊。我一点击音量控制器，它就弹出上面的第一个信息，再点击一次就弹出第二个信息。后来发现基本就没有 gst-register 这个命令，估计是少了一些东西。

我是在新安装的 RC1 上安装 gnome-core 包的

请检查以下几个包，gstreamer-tools gstreamer gstreamer-plugins,命令rpm -q，如果没有，请到apt上手动下载，然后我看是那个包少了依赖

我都已经安装过了。现在还发现了几个问题

1. firefox 的 ：

apt源上的 firefox 可正常显示，但是没有 Kanker 提供的插件那么多。下一个版本打包时是否能在 Kanker 那个包的基础上再打一次包呢？呵呵

这个正常，kanker打的包好象也有这个提示，我没有去管它，不影响使用，至于插件的问题，可以看kanker的rc1疑难解答，呵呵，我的只是关于pango xft的补丁没有打，因为据说使用cairo后那个不起作用了。我到时看看吧，因为如果正式版采用cairo 和 gtk 2.8,那么kanker肯定会打包firefox，因为兄弟不瞒你说打包firefox 和mozilla 系列包是个很痛苦的事情

2. 当安装软件包 control-center-2.12.1-1 的时候：

一直有这个问题，我先看看源码，然后再看看spec，目前不会影响应用的

3. 当安装软件包 gstreamer-0.8.11-1 的时候：

/var/tmp/rpm-tmp.58063: line 2: /usr/bin/gst-register: 没有那个文件或目录
error: %post(gstreamer-0.8.11-1.i686) scriptlet failed, exit status 127

gstreamer 和 gstreamer-tools 是互相依赖的， gstreamer依赖的 gst-register是gsteamer-tools中，这个也不会有任何问题

4. 当安装软件包 gnome-icon-theme-2.12.0-1 的时候：

今晚上的包会解决这个错误提示，问题到是没有，比较烦，所以我把%post的spec注释了

很多用惯的程序不在gnome不再被支持，gnome桌面的调音器无法正常调音，桌面图标丢失不少，垃圾箱永远是满的，改变桌面中文显示一样很好，默认的输入法被改成scim了，想改回去。
ML出个gnome版我支持的，主要受到开源概念的影响，所以对gnome有种向往，目前KDE桌面易用性来说还是强过GNOME的。

我没有对这个进行任何设置，我刚才查了一下
建议大家不要apt-get install gnome-core，
自己把里面的包下载到文件夹里，然后rpm -Uvh *rpm

目前KDE桌面易用性来说还是强过GNOME的。
