rpm的内核千万不要装！

我图省事装了个rpm的内核，同时也把新内核的源码也装了，可是以前装的显卡驱动用不了了。我再重装，竟然出错，不管编译的还是sh的都告诉我什么“正在使用的编译器和编译内核的版本不一至”让我改CC变量，faint！我怎么会，现在真实郁闷呀 。。。。。。

如果这样的话，您还应该dump一下您的内核，看看汇编代码是否有问题

yes, if the kernel u compile has some abnomal behaviors, u should dump u code to see whether gcc has problem to generate wrong kernel. but for most of us, we do not have such ability, at least i do not have, i do noy like my asm teacher, so my asm is urgly.

so this is nothing with 搞笑.

搞笑。能写出如此帖子的人，自己编译出的核心能比RedHat 提供的打补丁编译测试好的内核更可靠？我是不大相信的。 我自己最近以来一直都是用RedHat 提供的updates RPM内核升级的，很方便，一个rpm -Uvh 命令就搞定了。

看来楼主是自己把事情搞复杂了，你是不是把给RH8/RH9用的RPM文件拿来给RH7.x用了？或者相反？RH7.x使用 GCC 2.96, RH8/9 使用GCC 3.2 , 编译出来的.o文件格式不一样，不能乱用的。下载前一定要搞清楚，文件名上很清楚地。

最好到 ftp://updates.redhat.com 上按照自己的发行版版本下载最新的升级内核，不要搞错了。

sometime they use the kernel from ml, hehe, does not test thoroughly.
i prefer to use the vanilla kernel, because i need develop kernel module. and rh kernel does not fit well with these kind of stuff. some kernel data structures are changed.  

and i do not use rh. so..

官方的 RPM 还是得随时跟着更新的好。虽然不常用。
但他是最稳定最可靠的。只不过有点慢。
