One suggestion when testing new kernels like this.

Use
rpm -ivh
to install the new kernel.  This will not delete your old kernel.  In case you run into problems, you can always boot the old kernel.

Do NOT use
rpm -Uvh
which "upgrades" your existing kernel.  Bad idea.
