最新版rh9字体美化包更新到fontconfig-2.2.0

楼上的好象前三个freetype错误应该是RPM安装时缺少相关支持文件，后两个cp的问题应该是字体没有cp到这个目录

附，我的fontnew目录下文件：

拷贝simsun.ttc 到 fontnew , 然后install.sh

不过我已经安装过这个包了，完全是按照您的说明装的，不过当初的确没有simsun.ttc文件，也不知道可以把simsun.ttf文件改名一下就好了，呵呵，土人哦
我现在要重装吗？？怎样卸载掉原来装的包？？还有，我看了一下前面的文章，说控制中心里字体设置有乱码，我的有一部分也是乱码显示，您说要装qt,qtdesign等包，我是否也要装呢？？我的是rh9.0,kde风格的，谢谢

如果用kde,安装qt qtdesign

即使使用fontnew安装之后，其它都有simsun，但是就是konsole中没有simsun。在字体选择的地方后面几个都是乱码，不知道是什么，这在控制中心字体选择的地方也能看到。

我按照第一个贴子给的方法安装了字体，其他还可以，浏览器和输入法字体不好看。
终端马马虎虎。找不到Simsun，只有宋体。

后来又发现访问google时，字体非常难看，但是访问公社时字体却很漂亮。
为什么讷？

sorry,after I reloading the system and installing it,the problem still exist.This time I have copied the simsun.ttc into the fontnew,like this:

And then the chinese input lost again(55555555)

我在重装系统后装这个包还是这样啊，而且还是在gnome下装的，如果是simsun.ttc或者simsun.ttf字体没有装，那么也不可能出来simsun字体的，我现在就是除了输入法不能用，xmms的选项乱码以外，其他还是不错的，在此先感谢大侠的字体美化包了。能否装的时候不修改里面的xmms，chinput设置啊？？谢谢了

installed, gnome doesn't start automatically --
back out to console, use startx -- no chinese input
I can see simsun in the system fonts
I can see chinese in netscape
but openoffice is luan ma
can't go back and uninstall since the script didn't back up files for chinput
can somebody please post an original chinput?

搞定xmms了，原来是和帖子里第四页的bullud的问题差不多，都是把etc/gtk/gtkrc.zh_CN里面的style "gtk-default-zh-cn" {
fontset = "-adobe-helvetica-medium-r-normal--12-*-*-*-*-*-iso8859-1,\
*-misc-simsun-medium-r-normal--12-*-*-*-*-*-gb2312.1980-0,*-r-*"

}
加了个*号，呵呵，于是中文菜单就出来了，看来是设置的问题，但是输入法的问题如何解决呢？？谢谢
